BENTEN SAWANE JUNMAI GINJO
Benten Sawane is a premium, fruit-forward Junmai Ginjo. Named after the Buddhist goddess of good fortune, it is celebrated for its bright aromas, silken texture, and elegant balance of fruit and minerality. Yamagata is also the first prefecture to implement Geographic Indication (GI). Sawane is currently in review process. The Gokujo has already been approved.
Tasting Notes: Using locally developed Dewanosato rice and Yamagata Ginjo yeast, Sawane delivers a delicate, lifted floral and fruity nose (jasmine, pear, and white nectarine). The mouthfeel is striking yet smooth, balancing rich, multidimensional fruit flavors with a crisp, dry finish.
